Topic: WHEN GOD DOES NOT HEAR PRAYERS “ For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.”
Psalm 22:24.

There are times when God does hear our prayers but says ‘no’ in His Wisdom. We think of answered prayers as being those that receive an ‘yes’ response or the exact thing we prayed for. but many of our prayers are not answered the way we would have liked. In retrospect however, we thank God for not answering with an ‘yes’ as that would have been disastrous for us.

Sheryl describes just a situation. she has to appear for an important interview. As she entered the hall, she saw more than four interviewers. she felt nervous. “Oh God, help me,” she prayed. “This is a very important interview for me. Help me to clear it.” she noticed one interviewer in particular. That lady kept on shouting at almost everybody and seemed to be very rude. Sheryl prayed that her turn would not come with that interviewer.

Finally, when her name was called, Sheryl realized that she had to go to the same person! Her heart beat faster. As she sat down opposite her interviewer, the lady took the file from her hands and glanced at the papers. “You were born in Trivandrum?” she asked. Sheryl replied that she was. “I am a Malayalee, too”, the interviewer smiled at her. Sheryl could not believe her ears. There was nothing to indicate that, that person was a Malayalee. A pleasant conversation followed and Sheryl cleared the interview with good assessment.

“Thank you, God, for not listening to my prayer,” she breathed as she left the hall. “If god had heard her prayer, she would not have been able to get such pleasant meeting with her interviewer.

Our God is wise God. He sees the end from the beginning. All thinks are known to Him. This is Why His answers to our prayers are ‘ Yes’, ‘No’, ‘Later’ and ‘Never’. He know what is best for us. Trust Him to give you exactly what you need or deny you what you think you need. Just hunger after His righteousness and He will give the desires of your Heart.

Prayer:

“ Almighty God, Today I put my total trust in You and believe that You always have the right Answers to the prayers we asked, Please continue to pour you abundantly blessings on us. Thank you God.” Amen.
